North Downs Otford

Starting at Otford Station, this is a beautiful area in Kent, ascending the chalk downs to the North Downs Way.  Stunning views over the Darent Valley and beyond.  Expect hills and a few stiles.  We walk through woodland and open chalk downs towards Eynsford, before descending to the village of Shoreham where we will have time to sample the pub or tearoom.  Then an easy, level walk back to Otford station.

Bring a picnic and plenty of water, poles and footwear with a good tread in case of wet chalk underfoot.  

Trains - Victoria to Otford departing at 9.55 arriving at 10.32.   OR Charing Cross to Otford at 9.29 arriving at 10.07.  Off peak return using railcard and zone 6 is £4.79.  Check details nearer the time.

Parking - Otford Station Car Park or a car park in Otford Village (near to the end of the walk).
